First, thanks to Rosanna for letting me stop by today.
Today is the release of Scrap Metal, a contemporary erotic romance I co-wrote with my really great friend and critique partner, Alexi Raymond. Release day…wow! It’s kind of like your birthday and Christmas and maybe Halloween (one of my favorite holidays) all wrapped into one. For me the adrenaline rush is indescribable.
After that initial “Yay today’s the day I get to share my baby with the world” reality sets in. I’d like to say that I am sitting back today enjoying the moment. But I’m not. Release day is when the work really starts. Everyone says writing the book is the hard part…and it is. The harder part, the side of being an author that is easy to forget, is the marketing and promotion. No one will know about Scrap Metal unless Alexi and I tell you about it.
So here I am celebrating the release, spreading the word on Twitter, Facebook, and blogs. We’ve got bookmarks and pens and whatever other swag we can come up with. I’m going to treat myself to a nice dinner with the family to celebrate. Some time this afternoon I’ll squeeze in a few words on my current work in progress so I can have another book with another fun-filled, adrenaline laden release day!!
What about you? Do you relax on release day? Do you have a ritual?
A small Missouri town is the last place Angelica expected to find a man who could melt the scrap heap surrounding her heart. But find one she has. Now, if they can just put the past behind them, their love may become a beautiful work of art. You’ll be captivated from the very first page of Scrap Metal, Book 1 of Midwest Kisses, the hot new series from authors Alexi Raymond and Jennah Scott.
Scrap Metal can be purchased at http://www.lsbooks.com/scrap-metal-p811.php
Jennah Scott resides in Missouri. Until she started writing, she didn’t know what she wanted to be. So she ended up with degrees in education, business, and the medical field. When not writing you can find her with her family or lost in a book.
Alexi Raymond lives in Indiana with her husband and kittens. She can be found tumbling at gymnastics class, beating up the boys in a wrestling ring, and filming sports for her local TV station when she’s not on the couch talking to the people in her head!
